Clare Smale BA (Hons) PGCE FRSA

With 13 years of successful teaching and management experience in schools, Clare is currently a leadership and personal development coach and lead educational consultant for Inspired 2 Learn .
Clare began her career teaching Geography and PE in a community school in South Somerset and in 1991 she took part in a three-week study tour of Japan, having won a competition in the TES. Clare then became Head of Geography in a Wiltshire school for five years, followed by Head of Humanities at Hayesfield School Technology College in Bath. Throughout her teaching career Clare has been heavily involved in mentoring NTs and NQTs was seconded to the University of Bath as PGCE subject didactics tutor for Geography. Clare was the founder and Publishing Editor of Teaching Expertise (TEx) magazine from 2002 - 2006. This innovative magazine was packed with creative and practical learning and teaching ideas, including accelerated learning, NLP in the classroom, multiple intelligences, restorative justice, work-life balance and managing teams. Teaching Expertise was published by Clare for three years with subscribers worldwide, before it was sold to Electric Word PLC in 2006.
Clare is skilled in creating strategies for personal change through coaching and NLP techniques, particularly for senior leaders and those aspiring to leadership posts. Clare's passion is for coaching and NLP. She is an NLP Master Practitioner and trainer and she has a Level 7 Diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching (ILM). She has been a judge for National Teaching Awards (South West Panel) for five years. Clare designs, delivers and assesses CMI leadership and management programmes and ILM coaching awards.
Clare is a volunteer coach for Inner Flame, an educational charity whose vision is to inspire and support young people to live rich, happy and fulfilling lives, and to be excited about who they are.

Barrie Smale MA BEd FCMI FCIPD FInstLM
Director
Barrie is an experienced trainer, consultant and coach. He plays a leading role in the design and delivery of both our bespoke and accredited leadership and management development programmes. Barrie also manages our key accounts with a wide range of private and public sector clients.
Barrie is skilled in both facilitating group training and learning sets, and individual learning through coaching.
Barrie's design, training delivery and coaching skills are underpinned by accelerated learning and NLP principles. He is also qualified to administer personality profiling (MBTI, 16PF and Saville WAVE) psychometric tests and the HAY leadership & management styles inventory.
Barrie manages our Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Approved Centre which enjoys an excellent reputation; consistently receiving high quality inspection reports from the CMI that prospective clients are able to view on request.

Jane spent 18 years in HM Customs and Excise as a manager, in house training developer and internal consultant. She has spent a period as a consultant to the Charity Commission designing an induction programme. Jane is professionally qualified with the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and the Chartered Management Institute. |

Sue is an experienced management trainer and business development consultant and uses her skills to encourage managers to look at leadership from a different perspective. Using her wealth of experience she gets delegates on her events to think differently, challenging their ability, whilst learning from the experience to meet both personal and business goals.
She has accumulated a wealth of knowledge of different organisations and how they were managed through visiting over 1500 during her career in the Public Sector. Using this experience and that of an operational manager has helped her to deliver and design bespoke management events across both the Private and Public sector at all levels, from 1 to 1 coaching to a year long structured programme of blended learning.
Sue is an external verifier for the Chartered Management Institute auditing various approved centres, a Chartered manager helping others to gain this recognition and delivers professional qualifications for this awarding body.

Nick Austin

Nick was a primary school teacher and headteacher before moving into coaching and training across a spectrum of professional, personal and team development activities. Nick is British Psychological Society Level B (Intermediate Plus) certified and is qualified to give feedback and administer: ESCI, MBTI (Step I and II), SDI, 16PF,CPI 260, FIRO-B, CDAQ, ABLE, and all OPP Level A tools for selection and ability testing including the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI). Nick runs training on a variety of areas including leadership, management and team building. He is an NLP practitioner and runs NLP training sessions linked to presentation skills, personal development and using NLP strategies in the classroom for teachers.

Martin Sadler

Martin has been involved in the training and development environment for over 17 years. During this time he has worked as a Trainer, Training Consultant, NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier and Training Manager. His relaxed informal style of delivery makes for an enjoyable learning environment where course delegates find it easily to relax and take on more information and skills. In the past few years he has become more involved in coaching for both individuals and business and is also now a qualified NLP Master Practitioner. Martin trains a wide range of subjects ranging from management stress awareness, presentation skills, train the trainer and coaching skills amongst others. He is also approved to administer the DISC personal profiling tool which he uses for some of the course he delivers such as improving communication and also as an aid to his coaching work. Martin brings credibility, knowledge, humour and a wealth of experience to any programme he delivers.
